Zarza - Bourbon Rose

Zarza - Bourbon Rose

Cafés Muda

About This Coffee

This Pink Bourbon coffee is produced at the Zarza farm in the Huila region of Colombia, located in the Bruselas mountains. The coffee undergoes a washed process involving double fermentation (anaerobic followed by aerobic) and a thermal shock treatment to enhance flavor fixation. This results in a naturally sweet cup with fruity notes reminiscent of cherry candy, complemented by sweet spices on the finish. It is roasted for filter brewing methods.

They rotate roughly fifteen coffees at a time, often single origin, and prefer roast profiles that work for both espresso and filter so customers can brew whichever way they prefer. Sourcing emphasizes transparency and quality from Colombia, Rwanda, Ethiopia and El Salvador among others, and their reputation in the French specialty community makes their beans a destination buy for visiting coffee fans.
