Henni and Didier, a couple bringing together German, Canadian, and Colombian backgrounds, founded Lucky Cat Coffee in 2022 in Dresden's Neustadt district. The name and logo draw from the maneki neko, the Japanese beckoning cat figurine associated with good fortune, setting a playful tone for a serious specialty roasting operation. They roast fresh batches on Mondays and Tuesdays, opening to customers from Wednesday through Sunday, and work exclusively within the light spectrum to highlight the unique taste characteristics of each coffee.
