Little Victories Coffee Roasters

About This Coffee

This Gesha coffee is sourced from Carlos Alberto Belalcazar's farm in La Chorrera, Nariño, Colombia at 1800 meters altitude. The variety comes from purely Panamanian seed with only 6000 Gesha trees planted on the farm. Carlos is a member of FUDAM, an NGO founded by his wife Raquel Lasso, which has improved coffee quality and household incomes for smallholders across La Union and Buesaco. The coffee is washed processed and grown in rich volcanic soils characteristic of the Nariño region. Sourced in partnership with Shared Source, this is an extremely limited offering. The coffee features notes of sugar plum, molasses, and grapefruit with wonderfully floral and sweet characteristics.

Little Victories Coffee Roasters

Nick Discepola founded Little Victories in 2013 in Ottawa's Centretown, choosing a name that celebrates the small moments and quiet achievements a good cup of coffee can mark in a day. They roast on a Probat in small batches, favoring medium profiles that emphasize sweetness and balance across origins from Colombia, Guatemala, Ethiopia, Kenya, Brazil, and Honduras. Direct trade and transparent sourcing guide the buying decisions, and the wholesale program has grown to supply cafes, restaurants, and offices across the Ottawa region. A second location in Hintonburg expanded the footprint, and both spots are known for a genuine community focus, where regular customer relationships and welcoming staff set the tone. Creative seasonal drinks, regular cuppings, and a subscription service keep the offering fresh and the connection to the local coffee community strong.
