About This Coffee

This coffee is produced by Edwin Bohórquez at the El Recreo farm in Casabianca, Northern Tolima, Colombia, at an altitude of 1550 meters. It consists of Castillo and Variedad Colombia varieties. The coffee undergoes an anoxic honey process, involving a 24-hour in-cherry fermentation, followed by 36 hours of parchment fermentation in sealed tanks, and 30 days of shade-drying. The flavor profile features notes of milk chocolate, cherry jam, pomegranate molasses, spiced stewed apple, pomelo, poached pear, ripe figs, and caramel, with a syrupy body.

Scenery Coffee Roasters

Scenery Coffee Roasters was founded in London in 2023 by a trio with a combined three decades of experience in the specialty coffee industry. They roast on a Loring S35, producing on set days and holding coffee in airtight bulk storage before bagging, a workflow designed around freshness and consistency. Sourcing is forward looking: Scenery works with importers to purchase coffee early while it is still at origin, releasing lots as they land in the UK. All furniture in the space is upcycled, and the approach to materials follows the same minimal intervention philosophy that guides the roasting. Scenery was named a Sprudge Notable Roaster for 2025 and won Sprudge Best Design/Packaging in 2024.
