This single-origin coffee is grown at the Santa Lucia farm in the West Valley region of Costa Rica at 1700 meters altitude. Produced by Ricardo Perez and processed at the Helsar de Zarcero micro-mill, this SL 28 variety undergoes a white honey process. The cup profile is characterized by vibrant acidity and rich, layered sweetness, with distinct tasting notes of tangerine, lavender honey, and fresh strawberries. It offers a silky body and an elegant, nuanced finish.
Founded in 2009 by Kaelin McCowan in a back alley in Dundas, Ontario, Detour Coffee Roasters was born from a passion for the craft.
