This organic Ethiopian coffee comes from the Kabira region, grown at 2000-2100 meters altitude. The varieties are 74110 and 74112. It is processed using the natural method, where cherries are sorted, floated, dried in shade for one day, then spread on Raised African Beds for 20-30 days. The coffee features raspberry, vanilla, peach, apricot, and milk chocolate notes with fruity acidity, a medium silky body, and a round finish. It is an omni roast suitable for both espresso and filter brewing.
Felix Teiretzbacher founded kaffeelix in 2012, initially to supply his own café before specializing completely in roasting. His approach is to roast coffees relatively light, a method that highlights the unique characteristics of a bean's origin and processing rather than masking them with roasted notes. This dedication has paid off, with Felix winning the World Coffee Roasting Championship in 2022.
