This espresso blend combines Brazilian and Rwandan coffees in a 66/33 ratio. The Brazilian component comes from Café Santo Aleixo in Cerrado Mineiro, Minas Gerais, featuring Catuaí variety grown at 900-950 meters altitude, natural processed. The Rwandan component is sourced from Kilimbi, Rugali and Gisheke washing stations in Nyamasheke, Western Region, featuring Red Bourbon variety grown at 1550-1850 meters altitude, natural processed. The blend features baking spice and dried fruit aromatics with caramel, a syrupy body, and flavor notes of dark chocolate fruit and nut bar, dried apple, roasted apricot, candied blood orange, and a gentle floral honey hint. In milk, it offers salted caramel and orange zest flavors.
Scenery Coffee Roasters was founded in London in 2023 by a trio with a combined three decades of experience in the specialty coffee industry. They roast on a Loring S35, producing on set days and holding coffee in airtight bulk storage before bagging, a workflow designed around freshness and consistency. Sourcing is forward looking: Scenery works with importers to purchase coffee early while it is still at origin, releasing lots as they land in the UK. All furniture in the space is upcycled, and the approach to materials follows the same minimal intervention philosophy that guides the roasting. Scenery was named a Sprudge Notable Roaster for 2025 and won Sprudge Best Design/Packaging in 2024.
