About This Coffee

Finca de Dios is a specialty coffee from Fraijanes, Guatemala, sourced directly from a 27-hectare farm managed by Ellen Prentice. A blend of Bourbon, Pacas, Typica, and Caturra varieties, processed by wet method with drying on raised beds at 1500-1800 meters altitude. Notes include fudge, praline, almond, balanced apple acidity, and heavy body.

Penstock Coffee Roasters was originally founded in 2009 as OQ Coffee by Ben and Jessica Schellack before rebranding to Penstock in December 2018. Based in Highland Park, New Jersey, the roastery holds CCOF certified organic status and sources 85% of its coffee directly from farms in Central and South America, building relationships rooted in transparency and shared values. The remaining 15% comes from coffees bearing certified organic, Fair Trade, Bird Friendly, or Rainforest Alliance designations, ensuring all selections meet rigorous standards. Two time Good Food Awards finalist status in 2017 and 2018, alongside a Community Dividends Grants program supporting social justice projects, reflects commitment extending beyond coffee into systemic change.
