Guatemala Geisha El Socorro
DropShot Coffee RoastersAbout This Coffee
A washed Geisha from Finca El Socorro in Palencia, near Guatemala City, grown at 1,600–1,800 masl on volcanic soils with a cool, stable microclimate. Managed by Diego de la Cerda and his family, the farm has won multiple Cup of Excellence awards (1st place 2007, 2nd place 2011). After handpicking, cherries are depulped the same day, fermented for 24 hours, washed, and dried on raised beds under shade. The cup profile features white jasmine florals, honey-like sweetness, and a refined citric brightness.
