Hacienda Barbara Washed Geisha

Rosso Coffee Roasters

About This Coffee

Hacienda Barbara is located in the volcanic highlands of Boquete, Panama, at elevations ranging from 1,200 to 2,100 meters above sea level. The farm is managed by Hunter Tedman and Linda Arauz and emphasizes sustainable practices and meticulous cultivation methods. The coffee is a Geisha varietal processed using the washed method, which involves selectively handpicking ripe cherries, followed by careful fermentation to remove mucilage, then sun-drying on raised African beds. The processing includes innovative yeast fermentation techniques developed at Beneficio Bajareque processing plant. The coffee features aromatics of jasmine and orange blossom, with tropical fruit and golden raisin flavors. The cup has balanced acidity, a silky texture, and a clean, crisp finish.
