This coffee is from Costa Rica's Central Valley region, specifically from Hacienda Sonora Estate produced by Alberto and Diego Guardia. The coffee is grown at elevations between 1300-1825 meters above sea level. It is the SL28 variety, a drought-tolerant plant known for good cup quality potential. The coffee is natural processed, with cherries hand-picked and dried on patios for 9 days, followed by a 3-day warehouse rest, then mechanically dried for uniformity. Once reaching desired humidity, it rests in parchment for 2 months. The flavor profile is lively and saturated with forest berries, berry jam, candied orange, and slight floral notes. Roasted for espresso.
