About This Coffee

This is a Panama Geisha coffee from the Mil Cumbres farm located on a ridge of Volcan Baru in Chiriqui, Panama. The farm experiences a unique microclimate with mix of sun and heavy clouds along with persistent winds, causing fruit to ripen slower and creating excellent potential for processing. Cherries are hand-picked at peak ripeness, depulped, washed, and slowly dried on raised beds before being moved to indoor driers to finish the drying process. In the cup, it offers bright acidity, a lively mouthfeel with bright yellow fruits, gripping texture, and a range of florals from hot to cold. This is a classic Panama Geisha Washed representing clarity, sweetness, and expressive terroir.

Every batch is roasted to order, with a deliberate focus on brightness, sweetness, and flavor. Rose sources top end specialty lots through direct relationships with farmers in Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Ethiopia, China, and Indonesia. The name represents a duality Matt finds in great coffee: something simple and familiar on the surface, yet layered and complex underneath. It is a small, independent roastery with no shortcuts and no cheap blends.
