This dark roast coffee originates from Papua New Guinea, sourced from various smallholder farms. It was processed using a washed method with sun drying. The coffee features low acidity (pH 5.6) and flavor notes of lemon, molasses, brown sugar, and toffee, producing a full-bodied and complex cup reminiscent of Jamaican Blue Mountain style.

Volcanica Coffee began in 2004 when Costa Rican-born Maurice Contreras started importing richly flavored beans from volcanic regions right out of his garage. What began as a side passion soon grew into a family-run specialty roaster, roasting on demand in Atlanta and sending each batch out within a day.
