Peninsula

About This Coffee

Peninsula is an espresso blend made from equal parts high-grade Ethiopian coffee and a rotating high-grade South/Central American bean. The Ethiopian component contributes bright, sweet notes of blueberry and cherry with berry fruitiness and clarity of acidity. The South American half, which may be Honduran, Peruvian, or Costa Rican, brings nutty, frangipane sweetness to the cup. Currently featuring beans from Costa Rica (Caturra variety) and Ethiopia (Heirloom variety). Both washed and natural processing methods are used. Grown at altitudes between 1500-2000 meters. Winner of a 1 Star Great Taste Award in 2024. When brewed well, the blend is reminiscent of a Bakewell tart or blueberry frangipane.
