Scenery Coffee Roasters

About This Coffee

This coffee is a single origin from Peru, specifically from the San Antonio region in Yanatile, Calca, Cusco at 1800 meters altitude. Produced by Edy Robles Sosa and his wife Yolanda Cabrera Alvarez on their farm Yanamonte, this is a Bourbon variety processed using an innovative Double Ferment Anoxic Honey method. The cherries undergo a 36-hour anoxic fermentation followed by a second 40-hour ferment, then dried as a honey on raised beds for 22 days. The cup profile features bright aromatics of lemon verbena tea, pain au raisin and soft florals, with notes of gooseberry, persimmon, yellow plum, honeycomb and redcurrant, finishing with softly tropical pandan cake sweetness. Elegant and silky body.

Scenery Coffee Roasters

Scenery Coffee Roasters was founded in London in 2023 by a trio with a combined three decades of experience in the specialty coffee industry. They roast on a Loring S35, producing on set days and holding coffee in airtight bulk storage before bagging, a workflow designed around freshness and consistency. Sourcing is forward looking: Scenery works with importers to purchase coffee early while it is still at origin, releasing lots as they land in the UK. All furniture in the space is upcycled, and the approach to materials follows the same minimal intervention philosophy that guides the roasting. Scenery was named a Sprudge Notable Roaster for 2025 and won Sprudge Best Design/Packaging in 2024.
