Andy RoastersAbout This Coffee
This coffee is from the La Jalca region in Amazonas, Peru, grown at 2000 meters altitude. It is a blend from 150 independent producers united under Monteverde's Nueva Esperanza group, featuring Caturra, Bourbon, and Pacamara varieties. The coffee is fully washed, with cherries selectively handpicked at peak ripeness, pulped, and fermented for 12-24 hours in plastic tanks before being thoroughly washed. The parchment is dried on raised beds inside solar dryers. The coffee has tasting notes of honey, dark chocolate, and red grape, delivering clean, vibrant flavors with clarity and strength.

Andy Roasters
Andy Roasters was founded in 2020 by Dave Haessen and Kjell Maes in Antwerp, operating from the Blikfabriek in Hoboken. Dave previously worked in Melbourne's coffee scene before opening Butchers Coffee in Antwerp in 2015, and brought that experience into a roastery built around making specialty coffee fun, accessible, and less intimidating without compromising on quality. They focus on sourcing sweet and complex coffees through transparent relationships with producers and importers, roasting on a Giesen with a focus on consistency and developing profiles that bring out the best in each bean.
