This coffee is from Kilimbi washing station in Nyamasheke District, Rwanda, located on the shores of Lake Kivu. It is grown at 1650-1850 meters altitude by 750 coffee growers. The coffee is Bourbon variety processed using the honey method. Kilimbi was one of two washing stations to receive approval to produce honey and natural process coffees for the first time in Rwanda. The flavor profile features stewed prunes, juicy forest fruits, brandy butter, hazelnut ganache, with deeper notes of raspberries and gooseberries providing acidity and sweetness.
