This washed Ethiopian coffee comes from Sidama region at 2400-2550 meters elevation, produced by Tamiru Tadesse. The Landrace variety coffee is processed by de-pulping and mechanical washing without fermentation to preserve clarity. Dried over 12 days on African beds with hourly turning. Features vivid orange blossom florals with bright yellow and orange citrus notes, lemonade sweetness, and a lingering Earl Grey tea finish.
Founded in 2020 at the onset of the COVID 19 pandemic, Moonwake Coffee Roasters emerged from the passion of two former tech engineers, Ming Wood from Tesla and Mabel Yeung from Meta. What began as Ming's personal coffee project within Tesla's internal coffee club evolved into a full roastery operation after both founders chose to leave their tech careers to pursue coffee full time between 2023 and 2024.
