This coffee is from Edwin Martinez and his father Don Edwin Martinez in the Huehuetenango region of Guatemala's highlands, close to the Mexican border. The farm sits in a mountainous landscape at elevations reaching up to 3,400 meters above sea level. The coffee is processed using the washed method and dried under the sun on patios. This marks the first coffee the roastery purchased directly from a farmer when they opened their roastery in 2007, representing a long-standing relationship built over years of collaboration on quality picking, sorting, and drying practices.
Dayglow is not just a roastery but a highly curated coffee subscription service and cafe with locations in the US. They are known for featuring a "glow-in-the-dark" selection of the most exciting and innovative roasters from around the globe. Their own roasting is often experimental, pushing the boundaries of what coffee can be.
