XOXO Valentine's Coffee
Detour Coffee RoastersAbout This Coffee
Ethiopia Keramo coffee is grown by 1,500 smallholder producers in the Bensa region of Sidama at 2,360 meters altitude in the Bombe Mountains. Producers deliver ripe cherries to the Keramo washing station operated by Daye Bensa, who has been exporting specialty coffee from the area since 1996. The coffee undergoes traditional washed processing with wet fermentation for 36 to 72 hours, then dried on African beds with plastic mesh for 9 to 12 days until reaching 10% moisture. The extremely high altitude produces highly dense coffees with heavy concentration from slow maturation.
