Lomi

France

Aleaume Paturle founded Lomi in 2010 in the 18th arrondissement near Montmartre, making it one of Paris's earliest specialty roasters and among the first in the city to embrace Nordic style light roasting. The name was chosen purely for its sound and simplicity, but the operation behind it is anything but simple: 15 to 20 different coffees are available at any time, sourced through direct trade relationships from Ethiopia, Kenya, Colombia, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Rwanda, and Burundi, with regular origin trips to visit farms and build partnerships. The roastery is visible from the cafe, where a highly trained barista team works La Marzocco and Mahlkonig equipment across both espresso and filter programs including V60, Chemex, and batch brew. After more than 14 years, Lomi is recognized as a genuine pioneer of the Paris specialty scene and remains a popular destination for industry professionals visiting the city. Beans are sold at concept stores and specialty shops across Paris, and a roasting lab on site supports ongoing experimentation and development.
