About This Coffee

This espresso blend features a dry-processed Ethiopian coffee combined with 1 or 2 Latin American washed coffees, available from October to June. The blend offers fruity sweetness with berry and peach notes, a thick velvet body, and balanced citric acidity. Flavor profile includes cocoa, smoked hardwood, cherry, and hints of blueberry. Roasted light to medium specifically for espresso extraction, though suitable for filter brewing as well.

Penstock Coffee Roasters was originally founded in 2009 as OQ Coffee by Ben and Jessica Schellack before rebranding to Penstock in December 2018. Based in Highland Park, New Jersey, the roastery holds CCOF certified organic status and sources 85% of its coffee directly from farms in Central and South America, building relationships rooted in transparency and shared values. The remaining 15% comes from coffees bearing certified organic, Fair Trade, Bird Friendly, or Rainforest Alliance designations, ensuring all selections meet rigorous standards.
