Burundi Kibingo
Ideal KafferisteriAbout This Coffee
This coffee originates from the Kibingo washing station, located in the Kayanza region of northern Burundi, at approximately 1,893 meters above sea level. Around 1,739 smallholder farmers supply their coffee cherries to the station, each owning approximately 250–300 coffee plants, primarily cultivating the Red Bourbon variety at altitudes between 1,700 and 1,900 meters. The coffee is honey processed — dried on raised drying beds with some mucilage retained. Flavor notes include berry, lime, and caramel, with floral and juicy characteristics, a smooth texture, and vibrant sweetness.
