Scenery Coffee Roasters

About This Coffee

This coffee is produced by Luis Edgar Camacho at Finca La Palma in Palestina, a municipality in southern Huila, Colombia. The lot features the Fragencia cultivar, a variety from the Nestlé breeding centre in Ecuador. It is a traditional washed coffee with 24-hour in-cherry fermentation followed by 48-hour post-pulping fermentation, then dried in a marquesina over one month. The coffee grows at 1720 meters altitude and presents an aromatic profile of orange blossom, pomegranate and lychee, with lime curd, honeydew melon, summer berries and white sugar in the cup. As it cools, notes of peach, oolong, orange and lime boiled sweets emerge.

Scenery Coffee Roasters

Scenery Coffee Roasters was founded in London in 2023 by a trio with a combined three decades of experience in the specialty coffee industry. They roast on a Loring S35, producing on set days and holding coffee in airtight bulk storage before bagging, a workflow designed around freshness and consistency. Sourcing is forward looking: Scenery works with importers to purchase coffee early while it is still at origin, releasing lots as they land in the UK. All furniture in the space is upcycled, and the approach to materials follows the same minimal intervention philosophy that guides the roasting. Scenery was named a Sprudge Notable Roaster for 2025 and won Sprudge Best Design/Packaging in 2024.
