About This Coffee

This coffee was produced at Helsar de Zarcero, a processing station in Llano Bonito, West Valley, Costa Rica. The lot is a blend of Caturra, Catuai, and Typica varieties harvested between 1,600 and 1,800 meters altitude. After hand-picking at optimal ripeness, the cherries were washed using a Penagos machine, a water-efficient system. The coffee was then sun-dried on patios followed by controlled mechanical drying for eleven days. The result is a balanced coffee with juicy acidity, floral jasmine tones, hints of nectar, licorice, cacao nibs, and a silky smooth body.

Way Coffee Roasters

WAY Coffee Roasters was founded in Ghent in 2013 by Charlene De Buysere and Stoffel Vandenabeele, making them pioneers of the city's specialty coffee movement. Their roasting philosophy is centered on transparency and celebrating the bean's origin, which is why they prefer lighter roasts. This method allows the nuanced and delicate flavors developed at the farm level to truly shine through.
