This Ethiopian coffee originates from the Sidamo region, specifically from the Aroresa administrative district. The washing station is privately owned by Wochesa Achiso and sits at 1,856 meters above sea level in the Bale Mountain Range foothills. Coffee is delivered by 650-750 local growers farming at elevations of 1,900-2,100 meters. The coffee features mixed heirloom varieties and is processed using the natural method. It was produced as part of the Premium Cherry Selection program, where farmers deliver only the ripest cherries. The cup profile features floral notes, mandarin, and black tea flavors.

After more than eight years of preparation, Manta Ray Coffee Roasters opened their flagship roastery in Nunawading, Melbourne, in October 2022. The industrial chic space features a visible roasting area framed by large windows, inviting visitors into the process. Drawing on a background in film color grading, the team approaches roasting as a form of creative expression, seeking to reveal depth and character in every batch. Award winners at the 2019 Roasters Smackdown and 2023 ASCA competitions, they offer their signature Outsider Blend alongside rotating single origins and an automated pour over experience at the bar.
