About This Coffee

A single-origin coffee from Colombia, produced by Nidia Ramirez, president of AMUCAFLOME cooperative, from the farm Los Laureles - La Arabia in the Ortega region of Tolima, at 1800 meters altitude. The variety is Pink Bourbon, processed using the washed method: hand-picked with only ripe cherries, fermented 22–24 hours in water, pulped with a traditional depulper, washed with mountain water, and dried slowly on raised beds. Flavor notes include lavender, Pink Lady apple, and satsuma.

Kaffa Roastery

Back in 2007, Svante Hampf and a group of self described coffee fanatics asked a simple question: Finns drink more coffee than anyone on the planet, so could they also drink the best? They started with a popcorn machine as their first roaster and built from there into one of Helsinki's most recognized specialty operations, with multiple cafe locations across the city. Green beans are stored in a dedicated cold room at a constant 12 degrees with controlled humidity, and the roasting has earned international recognition and awards. The team is international and enthusiastic, united by a vision of making better, sustainable, enjoyable coffee within reach of every Finn. Nearly 20 years in, what started as a question has become a mission that continues to reshape Finnish coffee culture one cup at a time.
