KillbeanAbout This Coffee
This washed coffee comes from the wild forests of Gedeb Banko region in Ethiopia at 2050-2280 meters altitude. The coffee trees grow in a completely natural ecosystem with untouched soil, deep root networks, and dense native shade. Cherries mature slowly and evenly, developing high density and refined acidity. Produced by Daniel Mengistu's team, who hand-sort only fully ripe cherries before a controlled dual-stage washed fermentation. The beans undergo slow raised-bed drying to preserve clarity and floral structure. The cup is bright, layered, and remarkably clean with flavor notes of lime, chrysanthemum, berry, Buddha's hand, white peach, and honey.

Known for a gentle roasting style that preserves origin characteristics, with a strong focus on Ethiopian micro lots (floral, jasmine, bergamot profiles) and, unusually for the UK, one of the largest selections of Chinese Yunnan micro lots.
