Gust Coffee Roasters

About This Coffee

This fully washed coffee originates from the Ngandu Cooperative in Nyeri, Central Kenya, grown at altitudes between 1700-1800 meters. The coffee features varieties Batian, Ruiru-11, SL-28, and SL-34, graded as AA. Rich volcanic soil and ideal weather conditions contribute to its exceptional flavor profile. The coffee cherries are handpicked at peak ripeness by smallholder farmers and processed using the fully washed method, fermented in concrete tanks for 12-24 hours using water from the Gatiba stream, then dried on raised beds or solar driers for 7-14 days. The coffee has complex notes of rhubarb, strawberry pie, pink lemonade, and blood orange.
