Kenya Peaberry | Kevote Runyenjes Embu (Single Origin Filter)
Manta Ray Coffee RoastersAbout This Coffee
This is a peaberry coffee from the Kevote wet mill in Embu, Kenya, located in the foothills of Mount Kenya. The mill serves almost 2,600 small-holder farmers throughout the Embu region at an elevation of 1300-1900 meters. The peaberry is a natural occurrence where just one seed instead of two matures inside the fruit, resulting in uniformly rounded, smaller beans. This coffee is washed processed and combines varietals from the region including Batian, SL-28, SL-34, and Ruiru-11. The cup profile features blackberry, finger lime, and caramel notes with sparkling acidity. This is a filter roast.
