LALESA WASHED

About This Coffee

This washed coffee from the Lalesa Washing Station in Gedeb, Southern Ethiopia, is grown at 2200 meters altitude by Gotiti smallholders. The coffee grows naturally under shade, mainly beneath large enset trees. Cherries are selected through direct and long-term relationships with nearby smallholders, then floated in water to remove defective beans and dried on African beds for 12 to 15 days. The Heirloom variety coffee features flavor notes of black tea, bergamot, peach tarte Tatin with caramel, and floral notes, with a juicy body, medium acidity, and pineapple-like brightness. It has an SCA score of 87.5.

Moklair Coffee Roaster

Moklair Coffee Roasters is a micro roastery in Reims, France, founded in 2020 by Kevin and Charity. The pair spent a year developing their craft before opening their physical shop in early 2022. Small batch roasting allows precise control, and the profiles tend toward medium, balancing origin character with approachability. The roastery reflects a core belief that quality coffee should be accessible to everyone, and the name blends "Moka" with the founders' vision to create something personal and distinctive.
