Blank Roast

About This Coffee

A single-origin Arabica coffee from India, processed using the traditional "Monsooning" method, where the beans are exposed to monsoon rains, giving them their characteristic yellow color and distinctive flavor. Roasted using a gentle long-duration drum roasting method at low temperatures. The cup is full-bodied and robust, featuring chocolate notes with nuances of cedar, cocoa beans, and tonka bean. Low in acidity and recommended for fully automatic machines.

Blank Roast

Blank Roast is a coffee manufactory nestled in Neustadt an der Weinstraße, right on Germany's famous Wine Route — an unusual but fitting location for a roaster that draws on terroir-thinking. Master roaster Holger K. Blank has been at the helm since 2007, using a beautifully restored 1930s roasting machine fitted with modern controls. His unique approach includes adding organic grapevines from the surrounding region during the roasting process, which adds moisture and coaxes out extra aroma from the beans. The result is a distinctly smooth, aromatic cup with notes of vanilla, almond, and cinnamon developed during the 15-to-20-minute slow roast. Customers can watch the entire roasting process from their café seats while enjoying breakfast and freshly brewed coffee — a true sensory experience.
