Republica del Congo Organico Kivu Kalehe
Almanegra CaféAbout This Coffee
A washed coffee from a washing station in the Kalehe territory, on the southern side of Lake Kivu in South Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo, grown at 1,600 meters above sea level. The station serves 700 smallholder farmers with plots of 200–400 coffee trees, planted mainly with Bourbon and Typica varieties. The flavor profile features spiced sweetness of cinnamon and sugar, herbal and woody spice notes, with tastes of malt, tobacco, and black tea. The finish recalls the bitterness of clove.
