About This Coffee

From the Bench Maji highlands at 1900–2000 meters, this Gesha 1931 lot is processed with the Submerged Fermentation Washed (SFW) method. This proprietary technique involves selective hand-picking of fully ripe red cherries, depulping while retaining mucilage, soaking the coffee in sealed tanks fully submerged in cool water for several hours for controlled fermentation, gentle washing, and slow raised-bed drying for 12–15 days under African shade. The result is a remarkably clean and structured cup with crystalline acidity, elegant sweetness, and the signature tea-like clarity of Gesha, featuring tangerine, lemon, and lychee notes.
