DECAF: COLOMBIA

Sam James Coffee Bar

About This Coffee

This decaf coffee is from the Huila region of Colombia, sourced from various smallholder farms at altitudes ranging from 1000 to 1800 meters above sea level. The coffee features Bourbon, Typica, and Mundo Novo varieties and is washed processed before undergoing ethyl acetate (EA) decaffeination. The decaffeination process uses ethyl acetate, a naturally occurring ester, to bond with and remove caffeine from the green coffee while preserving flavor. This medium roast offers flavor notes of maple syrup, pecan, and tamarind.
