Schamong Rösthandwerk

Schamong is one of Cologne's most established coffee roasters, with roots going back to 1949 — making it a true institution in the Rhineland coffee scene. Now in its third generation, the family-run business has evolved from a traditional roastery into one that embraces specialty coffee while honoring decades of craft knowledge. They roast on classic equipment in their Ehrenfeld location, where visitors can watch the process and buy fresh beans directly. The range includes both traditional German-style roasts and more modern specialty offerings, bridging the gap between old-school and third-wave coffee culture. Schamong proves that heritage and innovation can go hand in hand — a roastery with real history and ongoing relevance.
