Manta Ray Coffee Roasters

About This Coffee

This single origin coffee comes from the Gayo region in Aceh, northern Sumatra, Indonesia. The coffee is grown at elevations between 1300-1650 meters on volcanic soils amongst the rainforest. It is a combined blend from small producers in the Pantan Masara villages who delivered cherries to the Asman Gayo mill. The varieties include Ateng, Bor bor, Catimor, and Timor hybrids. The coffee undergoes natural processing and is dried on raised beds and patios for 30-40 days. The cup profile features notes of dark chocolate, rockmelon, and raisins. This is a filter roast that offers a different profile from the traditional wet-hulled Sumatran coffees.
