About This Coffee

A Kenya coffee from Thunguri Coffee Factory, established in 1967, located in the Nyeri region on the fertile, deep red volcanic slopes of Mount Kenya at 1,600–1,900m altitude. Processed using a "Super Natural" method: only fully ripe cherries are hand-picked, undergo 72 hours of anaerobic fermentation, and are then sun-dried for approximately 28 days with carefully controlled temperatures and sunlight exposure. Varieties include Batian, Ruiru-11, SL-28, and SL-34. Tasting notes of Blackberry, Dried Prune, Herb, with a juicy and dense character.
