Rabbit Hole RoastersAbout This Coffee
This is a single-origin coffee from the El Volcancito community in Santa Rosa, Guatemala. The coffee is produced by smallholder farmers including Amildo Pineda, Rigoberto Garcia, Rommel Urias, and Miguel Angel Quinteros from the Xinka Community. The coffee features mixed varieties, mostly Pache San Ramon, and is processed using the washed method. It offers tasting notes of dark chocolate, butter, almonds, and candied orange with a medium-dark roast level. Each producer contributes between 5 and 15 bags of exportable coffee annually, processing their cherries together in communal facilities.

Rabbit Hole Roasters
Founded in 2019 by David Lalonde and Sophie Moreau, two Montreal natives who met at the Montreal Coffee Academy, Rabbit Hole Roasters emerged with a vision to create a radically different type of coffee company. The company earned Roast Magazine's prestigious "Micro Roaster of the Year 2023" award for their commitment to truth before hype and people before profit. Their approach challenges industry norms by focusing on emerging origins, publishing transparency reports, and addressing uncomfortable truths about inequality in the coffee trade, all while maintaining that they "know very little about coffee" and are okay with that.
