This is a 100% SL-28 naturally processed coffee from Finca Los Tonos and Corazon de Jesus, located in Chirripo, a mountain village in the Brunca region of Costa Rica. Brunca is the southernmost coffee growing region in Costa Rica, right on the Panamanian border. The farm is situated on the West side of the Talamanca mountain range, which experiences exceptionally humid conditions averaging between 85 and 100%. The region's mountainous geography, volcanic soil, and various microclimates created by different altitudes, plains and valleys produce a wide variety of outstanding coffees. Founded in 2012 by Jens Crabbe, MOK began as a small roastery and bar in Leuven before expanding to Brussels. Jens, a two time former Belgian Cup Tasters Champion, is driven by a desire to explore the full potential of coffee flavor. MOK's philosophy is centered on an omni roast approach, where they develop one ideal roast profile for each coffee that works for both filter and espresso. This method aims to showcase the coffee's inherent sweetness and terroir with maximum clarity and minimal roast influence.
