Gara Agena

About This Coffee

This coffee comes from the Gara Agena Washing Station in Sidama, Ethiopia. It is a Special Prep lot produced in very limited quantities from a limited number of smallholder farms. The cherries are 90% perfectly picked at the right red color, 5% semi-red, and 5% overripe. Processing involves soaking, depulping, and fermenting for 36 hours before being dried on raised beds for 21 days. Located near the Geta River in the fertile highlands of Sidama, this premium Grade 1 lot features heirloom Ethiopian varieties. The coffee offers tasting notes of lychee, vanilla, toffee, and jammy peach with a velvety mouthfeel.

Fieldwork Coffee

Tim Williams founded this modern Australian micro-roastery in 2015 (originally as Bureaux, rebranded in 2022) with a mission to champion what he believes are the world's best coffees. Fieldwork's philosophy focuses exclusively on washed process coffees, prizing clarity, sweetness, and sense of place across their entire range. Williams' approach emphasizes connecting customers with conscientiously grown, seasonally sourced coffees that speak clearly to their origins, representing the farmers who nurture these exceptional beans.
