About This Coffee

A honey-processed Catuai variety coffee from Honduras, produced by Richard Fernandez. Grown at 1600 meters altitude, this lightly honey-processed coffee offers flavor notes of cherry, red grape, and praline. It features a syrupy body and excellent cleanliness, with characteristics of cherries and plums. Richard Fernandez represents the new generation of coffee farming in Honduras, where modernization efforts by the national coffee institute have improved producer prospects.

Back in 2007, Svante Hampf and a group of self described coffee fanatics asked a simple question: Finns drink more coffee than anyone on the planet, so could they also drink the best? They started with a popcorn machine as their first roaster and built from there into one of Helsinki's most recognized specialty operations, with multiple cafe locations across the city. Green beans are stored in a dedicated cold room at a constant 12 degrees with controlled humidity, and the roasting has earned international recognition and awards. The team is international and enthusiastic, united by a vision of making better, sustainable, enjoyable coffee within reach of every Finn. Nearly 20 years in, what started as a question has become a mission that continues to reshape Finnish coffee culture one cup at a time.
