A single-origin Ethiopian coffee from the Danche locality within Chelbesa, in the Gedeb district of Yirga Cheffe. Grown at altitudes up to 2,200 masl in semi-forested shade conditions by approximately 500 smallholder farmers cultivating plots with fewer than 200 coffee trees. The Heirloom varieties are processed at the Chelbesa washing station (built 2019, operated by SNAP Specialty Coffee) using an innovative dry fermentation method in ceramic tanks for 72–96 hours, followed by washing and drying on raised beds. The cup is clean and floral with notes of cane sugar, star jasmine, sweet citrus, and fresh rue, with a bright acidity recalling lemon and orange, and a surprisingly robust body.
