This single origin coffee comes from the Gichathaini wet mill located in Nyeri County, Mathira West district in Kenya, at elevations between 1600-1900 meters. The mill is serviced by 1045 members as part of the Gikanda Farmers' Cooperative Society, with coffee cherries coming from the foothills of Mt. Kenya. The region features deep, red volcanic soil and excellent water drainage. This washed processed coffee consists of SL-28, SL-34, Ruiru-11, and Batian varieties. The flavor profile features floral notes, star fruit, and finger lime. It is roasted as an espresso roast.

After more than eight years of preparation, Manta Ray Coffee Roasters opened their flagship roastery in Nunawading, Melbourne, in October 2022. The industrial chic space features a visible roasting area framed by large windows, inviting visitors into the process. Drawing on a background in film color grading, the team approaches roasting as a form of creative expression, seeking to reveal depth and character in every batch. Award winners at the 2019 Roasters Smackdown and 2023 ASCA competitions, they offer their signature Outsider Blend alongside rotating single origins and an automated pour over experience at the bar.
