About This Coffee

This coffee is from Finca Santa Lucia in Siguatepeque, Comayagua, Honduras, grown at 1550 meters altitude. Produced by Fincas Mierisch, this is a Gesha varietal processed using the fully washed method. This lot won the Honduras Cup of Excellence in 2019 and 2021, and placed second in 2022. The coffee exhibits floral notes characteristic of Gesha while maintaining the tropical character of Honduran terroir, with tasting notes of apricot, lime, and pomegranate. Seven Seeds Coffee Roasters

Established in 2007 by Mark Dundon and Bridget Amor, Seven Seeds was created to embody the ideals of exceptional and transparent coffee.A pioneer in Melbourne's coffee scene, the company's name honors the story of Baba Budan, who smuggled seven coffee seeds from Yemen, breaking the Arabic world's cultivation monopoly. Their approach is founded on transparency, and since 2018, they have published the "farmgate" price they pay directly to producers. They focus on building partnerships with producers, whom they see as professional colleagues.
