Lehmus Roastery

Lehmus Roastery is roasting specialty coffee on the shores of Lake Saimaa in Lappeenranta, working out of an old warehouse that now houses both the production operation and the acclaimed Satamatie 6 cafe. The roastery has been voted Finland's Best Roastery three times at the Helsinki Coffee Festival, in 2017, 2018, and 2020, and the adjoining cafe took Best Cafe in Finland in 2018 and 2020 as well. The range covers eight core roasts from light through to dark espresso, with a Limited series showcasing rare competition level micro lots that have scored as high as 88 points in cupping and have twice been selected as Finland's best filter coffees. Everything roasted carries specialty coffee classification and is responsibly grown, and the online shop lets customers order beans or ground coffee in various coarseness levels. The Satamatie 6 space, set in a horse stable built in 1914, doubles as a cafe, shop, and terrace serving local artisan products alongside freshly roasted coffee from the machine running just steps away.
